Why do I find it easier to write 

Poems that are dark and not so light. 

Does it mean more when there's an ache in my heart 

 writing dark poems is far more my art.  

 

I certainly do not enjoy the dark days 

But know it makes me stronger in my own way.  

The words seem to flow when thinking about painful things, 

Maybe I should write songs for someone to sing.  

 

It's funny how my poems all have to rhyme  

I have been writing like this for a long time.  

Its works for me and seems to flow, 

But only when my thoughts are low.  

 

Its good therapy for me to write down, 

When life is rubbish  making me frown.  

If it brings comfort to others that’s good, 

I shall carry on writing, as I know I should.
